My husband and I were passing through Salida and happened upon this little gem!! We ordered the savory sausage spiral, cinnamon roll and a cherry almond scone. DELISH!!!! They have organic and gluten free options. Kind workers and great coffee!! Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. We love Salida and now have one more thing to love!

Wonderful spot! Get there early though. They serve one order at a time. You order, wait for them to fulfill order, hand it off to you and then next guest. We arrived around 9am on a Sunday and had a few people in front of us. After we ordered and got our food the line was at least 10 people deep. Seems very popular. Their loaves of bread are great, we got sourdough. Seems like they sell out a lot. We got the last two pieces of their special apple monkey bread and there were no bagels left.

Wow! I bought some simple sliced sandwich bread and it was incredible. So much better than a grocery store loaf. I can't wait to try their other goodies.

If you dont stop by you are missing out. The apple hand pie was amazing. And the rosemary olive oil loaf was delicious.

Was referred to as “You people” when asked a series of questions by the man working behind the counter. I answered politely and was responded to sarcastically. I wont be returning.

So delicious. What a wonderful little gem. The cinnamon rolls were to die for, wood fired bagels were perfectly toasted, scones were soft, and bread was warm and fresh from the oven. Grab a hand pie if they're available! Well worth the drive from Buena Vista for breakfast.

Insanely delicious. New York style bagels. Best I’ve EVER TRIED! Love their Chile cheddar, and ciabatta. Been coming here for forever but never rated. 5 stars all day.

Awesome baked goods. Get here early. They run out of some items fast. Cinnamon Rolls and pumpkin ginger muffins are fantastic.

Stopped by my first time for a cinnamon roll and French bread. They were out of cinnamon rolls and the French bread was not the best.

Delicious, fresh pastries and breads in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Absolutely a highlight of my time in Salida.

Awesome little bakery! The Little Red Hen is a must do every time I'm in town. I love their local focus, including their bathroom soap! They don't always have them, but their sandwiches are amazing.

I premise this with I am a foodie and a q 15+year x-chef. This is absolutely positively the best bread I have ever had outside of home. They continue to get me addicted to every sample they give out. I hated scones before I tried there's and now I cannot live without them. The staff is awesome as well....

The best....a must stop if you're in Salida. Coffee, bottled drinks and breakfast items too. Buy enough bread to supply your Colorado trail hike and feel like super human. Personal favorite is the chili cheese bread hot out of the oven but that is a Saturday special.

The bakery has a great product that I LOVE - Cranberry Almond Bread! Yum, yum!! The bakery follows COVID guidelines. The bakery has easy access with limited parking; however, Safeway is across the street with ample parking. The staff is friendly and helpful! I try to pick up a loaf everytime that I am in the Salida area.

We grabbed some fresh French bread while we were stayed in Salida, CO. Best bakery we have been to in a LONG time! We will definitely be back!
